Work experience

  • Basic component changes such as air cabin filters, fuel filters and external component changes such as exhausts and tyres, using correct torque figures.
  • Learnt how to use an on-board diagnostics tool and interpret fault codes.
  • Understanding electrics such as battery testing, interior and exterior lights and using Autodata as a general reference to not only help with electrics but understanding where new components fit.
  • Doing full MOTs of cars, including visual inspections whether it is leaks or damage to components; exhaust emissions testing, brake testing, steering alignment and wheel alignment.
